On 18 July 2018, IYDSF in partnership with Mpekweni beach resort, celebrated Mandela Day, by celebrating the elders of the community. The Game Changer Champions worked with the hotel food and beverage team to prepare food at the hotel before bringing it to the venue set up by the resort for the local community members.
On 20th April 2018, 90 IYDSF Game Changers came together to give back to their community. Through funding received from Action Aid! and donations from local businesses, the Game Changers, and community members worked together to refurbish local schools.
